[AILEAN] An do rinn sibh co-dhùnadh air càite an tèid sibh air saor-làithean, ma-thà?
[BRÌGHDE] Rinn, feasgar an-dè, mu dheireadh thall.
[AILEAN] Uill, càite a bheil sibh a' dol?
[BRÌGHDE] Tha sinn a' dol dhan Ghrèig, gu eilean Crete airson seachdain. Fhuair sinn air deagh phrìs e.
[AILEAN] Oh, bha sinne ann ron a seo. Tha e brèagha. Tha gu leòr ri fhaicinn agus ri dhèanamh cuideachd. Cuin a tha sibh a' falbh?
[BRÌGHDE] Tha sinn a' fàgail an taighe Diardaoin an 3mh den Lùnastal, agus a' sgèith gu Gatwick. Feumaidh sinn oidhche a chur seachad an sin ann an taigh-òsta. Fàgaidh sinn am port-adhair Dihaoine aig leth-uair an dèidh a seachd sa mhadainn.
[AILEAN] Carson a tha sibh a' dol a Lunnainn seach Glaschu no Dùn Èideann?
[BRÌGHDE] Cha b' urrainn dhuinn falbh à Alba air an latha sin agus cha b' urrainn dhuinn falbh aig àm sam bith eile oir tha Seòras cho trang aig obair. Tha sinn coma gedtà. Tha sinn dìreach ag iarraidh seachdain air falbh anns a' ghrèin. Dè mur deidhinn fhèin? An d' fhuair sibhse rudeigin a chur air dòigh?
[AILEAN] Uill, tha sinn air a bhith a' coimhead air an eadar-lìon gach oidhche, ach feumaidh sinne a bhith cinnteach gu bheil an t-àite tarraingeach do chlann. Chan e rud furasta a tha sin agus iad aig an aois aig a bheil iad!
[BRÌGHDE] Creididh mi sin! Bheil sibh air dad idir fhaicinn gu ruige seo?
[AILEAN] Uill, rinn sinn co-dhùnadh a-raoir air trì àiteachan. Feumaidh sinn a-nise codhùnadh a dhèanamh cho luath 's a ghabhas mus atharraich na prìsean aca. Tha e cho daor nuair a tha teaghlach a' falbh.
[BRÌGHDE] Tha sin fìor gun teagamh. Dè na h-àiteachan air a bheil sibh a' coimhead?
[AILEAN] Uill, choimhead sinn air a' Ghrèig cuideachd, ach 's e Ibiza agus Lanzarote a tha air mullach an liosta.
[BRÌGHDE] Oh, uill, tha fios gun còrdadh Ibiza agus Lanzarote ris a' chloinn, ach am faigheadh tu fhèin is Ceit fois?
[AILEAN] Uill, 's e an rud, ma tha iadsan toilichte, agus gu leòr aca ri dhèanamh, tha sin a' ciallachadh gum faigh sinne fois. Cha bhi iad a' gearain nach eil càil acasan ri dhèanamh. Bheil thu gam thuigsinn?
[BRÌGHDE] 'S mi thà. Deagh bheachd gun teagamh sam bith. Cumaidh ceòl is dannsa is òigridh eile iadsan a' dol agus gheibh thu fhèin is Ceit norrag no dhà sa ghrèin.
[AILEAN] Sin dìreach e. Feumaidh tu a bhith caran gleusta nuair a thig e gu saor-làithean far a bheil òigridh an sàs. Gu h-àraidh ma tha thu ag iarraidh buannachd às dhut fhèin cuideachd.

[AILEAN] Have you decided where you're going on your holidays, then?
[BRÌGHDE] Yes, yesterday afternoon, at long last.
[AILEAN] Well, where are you going?
[BRÌGHDE] We're going to Greece, to the island of Crete for a week. We got it for a good price.
[AILEAN] Oh, we've been there before. It's beautiful. There's a lot to see and do, as well. When are you going?
[BRÌGHDE] We're leaving home on Thursday 3rd August and flying to Gatwick. We have to spend a night in a hotel there. We'll leave the airport on Friday at half past seven in the morning.
[AILEAN] Why are you going to London rather than to Glasgow or Edinburgh?
[BRÌGHDE] We couldn't depart from Scotland on that day and we couldn't get away at any other time because George is so busy at work. We don't care though. We just want to get away for a week in the sun. What about yourselves? Have you been able to arrange anything?
[AILEAN] Well, we've been searching on the internet every night, but we have to be sure that the place is appealing to children. It's not an easy task when they're at that age.
[BRÌGHDE] I can well believe it! Have you seen anything at all so far?
[AILEAN] Well, last night we decided on three places. We now have to make a decision as quickly as possible 24 before their prices change. It's so expensive for a family to travel.
[BRÌGHDE] That is definitely true. What destinations have you been looking at?
[AILEAN] Well, we looked at Greece too, but Ibiza and Lanzarote are at the top of the list.
[BRÌGHDE] Oh, well, the children will love Ibiza and Lanzarote, but would you and Kate get any peace?
[AILEAN] Well, the thing is, if they're happy, and have plenty to do, that means we'll get some peace. They won't be complaining that they have nothing to do. Are you with me?
[BRÌGHDE] I am indeed. That's a great idea, without a doubt. Music, dance and other children will keep them occupied and you and Kate can have a nap or two in the sun.
[AILEAN] That's it exactly. You have to be pretty sharp when it comes to holidays where children are involved. Especially if you want to get something out of it for yourself too.
