Air ais aig an taigh, tha an telebhisean a' feitheamh rinn. Dè cho tric 's a bhios sinn air an t-sòfa fad na h-oidhche a' coimhead an telebhisein?

[SEUMAS (JAMES)] Most of us spend far too much time sitting down. Perhaps we drive to work - or go on a train or take the bus. If we work in an office, we sit at computers.
When we get back home, the television is waiting for us. How often do we sit on the sofa all evening watching the television?
I decided to get healthier - little by little. I had put on some weight and I wasn't feeling very well.
I did some work in the garden. That was a start - and the grass had grown long. I was weeding around the plants and cutting the grass.
The car made me lazy. I put the keys to one side and started to walk instead of using the car. Then I began to go out for longer walks.
There's a fairly steep hill near to my house and before long, I was climbing that hill every day. I wasn't doing very much, but I felt a lot better and I was losing weight.
I have carried on with the exercise and today I go running and swimming. Doctors say that exercise is very good for you. I agree with them. It's good for your body and it gives your spirits a boost too.
I'm also paying more attention to food. Fat, salt and sugar - too much of them at least - are bad for you. I don't eat food that has a high fat content now. I've turned my back on salt and I avoid sugar.
However, fruit and vegetables are good for you. I don't know if I always eat my "five a day", but I try my best.
Fish is good and good for you, and I eat plenty of fish. Oily fish are particularly good for you - such as salmon, herring and mackerel. If I can get mackerel, I fry the fish in spices.
That's made me hungry. Before I go, let's take a look at some of the words I used.
Television ... television
How often do we sit on the sofa all evening watching the television?
Grass ... grass
I was weeding around the plants and cutting the grass.
